Trim Level Highlights
The 2023 Outback is available in a wide range of trim levels, and, while this can help you find a model with exactly what you're looking for, it can also be a little overwhelming. So, we wanted to share a few of the big differences.
First, there are five main trim levels: the base Outback, Premium, Onyx Edition, Limited and Touring. The base Outback offers an affordable entry-level option, but you'll find the truly luxurious amenities on the Limited and Touring trim levels.
Beyond these first five, there's also the Onyx Edition XT, Limited XT and Touring XT. Compared to their similarly named models, these XT trims' primary difference is the use of the more powerful turbocharged engine.
The final trim level to consider is the Outback Wilderness. Also equipped with the turbocharged engine, this option comes with loads of special adjustments and added features to make it the off-road leader of the bunch. For example, its roof rails are reinforced to handle up to 200 pounds while on the move, or 700 pounds when static, and the ground clearance of the Wilderness is raised to 9.5 inches.
