The Subaru Forester Wilderness stands out at Garcia Subaru North for several reasons. First, it's a bit taller than the other Foresters in the lineup on our Albuquerque lot, having a ground clearance of 9.2 inches, and it has special exterior components that contribute to its athletic style. It's also quite capable, so it's ready to conquer tough terrain.

Like other Foresters available near Rio Rancho, the Wilderness trim comes standard with symmetrical all-wheel drive. This drivetrain can make it easier to handle slippery conditions. When things become very challenging, the dual-function X-MODE program can be engaged to enhance traction even more. A front skid plate offers protection, and the all-terrain tires are prepared to work hard and grip a variety of terrain. Notably, this trim has been enhanced so that it can tow 3,000 pounds around Placitas.

The Wilderness looks distinct on Albuquerque roads with its matte-black anti-glare hood decal. It has a few other black accents as well as Anodized Copper accents, and it's the only Forester trim available in a cool Geyser Blue exterior color. The Wilderness's roof rails have been reinforced so that they can bear more weight. You can secure bikes, skis, snowboards, or kayaks to them, or you could even set up a rooftop tent.

Inside the cabin of the Forester Wilderness, you'll find may great amenities. You and your passengers can enjoy all the leg room provided in the cabin, and you can keep your items stored in the spacious cargo area. The seats are covered in a water-resistant synthetic material called StarTex, with the front seats showcasing embossed Wilderness logos.

Importantly, the Wilderness can work hard to keep you safe in Albuquerque. Its driver-assist systems will warn you about potential problems, and if you require additional help, this SUV could even adjust its own steering and braking.
